TDPS Wednesdays: Tabitha Chester, PhD

Event Attributes

This research is birthed from Dr. Chester's experiences growing up as a girl-child of a Black pastor and interrogates the archetypal narrative of the "wild preacher's daughter." This presentation will use both popular culture and the lived experiences of Black women to explore the development and performance of their sexual and gender identities.

Dr. Tabitha Chester is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies.
