Emily Lotz is a first year MFA Scenic Designer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated with a BFA in Theatre: Design & Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. This past fall she was selected as a winner of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Midwest Regional Section Digital Design Competition for her work on Radium Girls. This past summer she worked at Camp Manito-wish YMCA in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin as the Horse Program Director. Her other passion besides theatre and horseback riding is sailing. She is very excited to continue her dream here at the University of Maryland. Emily’s previous scenic designs include Radium Girls, Carousel, and Big Love (UW-Steven’s Point).
