Renee is a first year Masters student with research interests in the cross cultural intersections of ritual, art, and performance. In particular she is looking at how people conceptualize and mark important milestones. Her interests include cultural anthropology, performance theory, movement studies, experimental theatre, theatre for social change, storytelling, trauma and the healing power of narrative. She also is active in theatrical production and has worked predominately as a director, stage manager, and dramaturge. Renee earned her BA from Muhlenberg College in Theatre with a concentration in Directing and Performance Studies. She also double minored in Philosophy and Comparative Religions.
