Tara Demmy

Teaching Assistant

Tara Demmy is a first year Theatre and Performance Studies doctoral student from Philadelphia. Her research lives primarily in the field of Comedy Studies, including visual depictions of the female comic throughout history and the comedic territories of Jacques Lecoq. In addition to her studies, Tara teaches, performs, and directs comedic improvisation, sketch comedy, and clowning. tarademmy.com

Tara is a company member of Tribe of Fools, a physical theatre company based in Philadelphia. She most recently performed in Fishtown - A Hipster Noir (2017), nominated for five Barrymore Awards including Outstanding Ensemble in a Play.
