Position Title: Production Coordinator

Starting Date: Appointment begins August 2013

Salary: $40,000 plus benefits

Position Description: The successful candidate will support the production effort for the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS) and report to the Production Manager. Specific duties will include: assist in supervising technical/dress rehearsals and performances of TDPS main season productions; support the production needs of all TDPS sponsored groups; coordinate the TDPS Second Season; administer the Production Practicum course; coordinate the needs of TDPS guest artists; coordinate the marketing needs of TDPS productions; maintain and schedule TDPS rehearsal/performance venues and coordinate with faculty all special events related to TDPS. If applicable the Production Coordinator will assist the Production Manager in the training and mentoring of the student stage managers and stage manage Theatre/Dance productions when necessary.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in theatre or dance or a related field is required. Also required: at least 3 years progressive experience in theatre or dance production management. Expertise in the production process, excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities. Stage Management experience preferred.
