Prof. Jared Mezzocchi awarded for projections design on ASTROBOY AND THE GOD OF COMICS

Congratulations to Professor Jared Mezzocchi on his recent awards for his Projections design on Natsu Onada Power's ASTROBOY AND THE GOD OF COMICS, which was remounted in Boston this past summer.

Congratulations to Professor Jared Mezzocchi on his recent awards for his Projections design on Natsu Onada Power's ASTROBOY AND THE GOD OF COMICS, which was remounted in Boston this past summer.

He won the Elliot Norton Award (presented by the Boston Theater Critics' Association) for Outstanding Design, Midsize Theater. He won the IRNE Award (Independent Reviewers of New England)for Best Projection Design.

In addition, he will be honored by the Live Source, a non-for-profit group of theater and film artists in NYC focused on multidisciplinary theater, for his outstanding contribution to multimedia design in the community at their Spring Gala in NYC on June 16th. The honoring is also to acknowledge his work with emerging projection design students here at UMD.
