The Coordinator of Student Services and Academic Advisor handles academic advising, recruitment, registration and retention for the Undergraduate Theatre and Dance Programs. Other duties include scheduling courses, managing alumni relations, and coordinating scholarship auditions. The Coordinator is a member of the Undergraduate Programs, Curricula and Courses Committee, and the Honors & Awards Committee.
Susan graduated from Ohio University’s School of Dance with a BFA in Modern Dance and Choreography in 2001 and earned a MA in Interdisciplinary Studies, Women and Gender Studies from George Mason University in 2009. Before coming to the University of Maryland, she worked as Academic Advisor for the School of Art at George Mason University. Her artistic and scholarly interests include: modern dance, performance art, aesthetics, and feminist theory. Susan is very passionate about academic advising and is excited to work with the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies.
