Position Description: Teach courses in playwriting and performance technique in both the undergraduate liberal arts curriculum and the MFA in Performance program; maintain strong professional standing in the field; be an active participant in School governance and in the performance/production effort in the School, including mentorship of students, coaching, writing and directing, School productions. Playwriting courses should be grounded in the basic Aristotelian/Freytag elements of dramatic structure.

Required: an MFA with an emphasis in Playwriting and/or Performance, or equivalent professional experience. A BA or BFA degree is required. At least two years experience teaching playwriting and performance techniques in a university or conservatory setting, comprehensive training in playwriting and dramaturgical skills; professional acting, devising, directing and/or performance movement experience.  

Preferred: Union affiliation. Significant professional experience in playwriting, directing, performance and/or movement skills. Interest in cross-disciplinary collaborations.
