MFA Design Alumni are making their mark on Broadway

January 28, 2013 School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies

The recent Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, now playing at Studio 54 in an open ended run, features the talents of two UMD recent MFA Design grads.

Jeremy Foil MFA '10 ( Associate Designer) and Deborah Wheatley MFA '11  (Assistant Designer) worked with Broadway veteran set designer Anna Louizos ( Avenue Q) to create scenic models and draftings for the recent Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.  Both students began their professional careers as assistants to Professor Daniel Conway on the award winning production of MacBeth at The Folger Theatre directed by Aaron Posner, TDPS adjunct Professor.
