Kristopher Pourzal

Kristopher Kareem Quarles Pourzal is a PhD student in Theatre and Performance Studies. His interests bridge Black studies, queer theory, and dance history. Additionally, he is a choreographer, performer, educator, and dramaturgical consultant. He makes solo performances that mine questions of minoritarian subjecthood, and his work has been produced/supported by many NYC venues such as The Kitchen, GIBNEY, Danspace Project, Dixon Place, and Brooklyn Arts Exchange. His most recent written work appears in the Movement Research Performance Journal issue 54.
