Undergraduate:

• Tours of the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies and The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center (The Clarice) are offered most weekdays, Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., by appointment. Please note: Prospective student tours will not be available during the first two weeks of the fall semester.
• To schedule a prospective student visit, please contact undergraduate academic advisor Susan Miller at smille13@umd.edu with your name, contact information, program of interest and possible appointment dates. It is best to schedule a visit at least one week in advance.
• Interested in visiting the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies? Discover TDPS Day is held each year in October. Observe our classes and rehearsals, tour our beautiful spaces at The Clarice and ask our current students your questions about life as a theatre or dance major at a panel discussion. Find out more. Website will be updated each year in late August/early September.

Discover TDPS Day

Held in the fall semester, usually in October, Discover TDPS Day for prospective students to see what being a student here is like. Observe our classes and rehearsals, tour our beautiful spaces at The Clarice and ask our current students and faculty your questions about life as a dance or theatre major at a panel discussion.

TDPS Admitted Student Open House

Held in the spring semester for admitted students to see what being a student here is like. Prospective students preparing for a future application cycle are also welcome.

Attend a Performance

The UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies presents more than a hundred free and ticketed events every year at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. You can experience the performance in-person or attend virtually from the comfort of your home. Explore UMD TDPS events and performances at theclarice.umd.edu.
