The performing arts at Maryland announce the 24-25 season.

The more than 50 shows spanning music, theater, dance, comedy and more include both groundbreaking new works and reimagined classics.

Legendary R&B and gospel singer Mavis Staples, Mary Zimmerman’s poignant and stunning play “Metamorphoses” and a program including William Grant Still’s “Afro American,” the first symphony composed by an African American to be performed by a major orchestra when it premiered in 1931, are among the highlights of the 2024–25 season at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

The more than 50 shows spanning music, theater, dance and comedy include both groundbreaking new works and reimagined classics performed by students, faculty and touring artists.
