Congratulations to Professor Misha Kachman on having his work studio featured on Live Design's website!
Congratulations to Professor Misha Kachman on having his work studio featured on Live Design's website! He explains that he does not work from home and instead has a separate work space:
“A studio provides me with a sense of structure and purpose. I need to go to work. In this regard, I’m no different from any nine-till-six fellow in a cubicle. I have two places where I do most of the work: my art studio at Dupont Circle in DC and the office/studio where I do most of my drafting and model-making.”
He has decorated his workspace with books, paintings, old models, fabric swatches, storyboards, furniture pieces, costume renderings, and old props. He has stored up a huge collection over the years from his work with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Olney Theatre Center, Arena Stage, Baltimore's Centerstage, Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, Kennedy Center, and Theater J--to name just a few.
