Zachary Frazee

Zachary Frazee (they/them) is a first year MFA Candidate in Dance at the University of Maryland, College Park. Originally from Rochester, NY, Frazee has worked as a performer, choreographer, and educator since 2014 when they graduated from SUNY Brockport with their BFA in Dance. They have performed with the New York State Ballet, Saratoga City Ballet, electricGrit Dance, and Biodance, among others. In 2018 Frazee founded their dance company, Frazee Feet Dance, and proceeded to create and present works locally and nationally through 2022 including four evening length works that were featured in the Rochester Fringe Festival. In 2021, Frazee was selected as an Awardee for the NYS Choreographers’ Initiative, a program funded by the NYS DanceForce, and presented their research from this project at the NYS DanceForce Summit in 2022. Frazee’s work as an educator consists of teaching dance at local schools and studios, mostly ballet and contemporary ballet technique, in addition to their time as an Adjunct Lecturer in Dance at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Alongside their work in the dance field, Frazee is a comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor and a freelance photographer.
