TDPS dance faculty, students and alumni create site performance in Chatham

"PEARSONWIDRIG Dance is Clever, Fun" - writes Tresca Weinstein with Times Union of Albany, New York. Click this news to read entire review and learn more about UMD faculty and students who travelled to Chatham this past August.

Professors Sara Pearson and Patrik Widrig took their company, PEARSONWIDRIG DANCTHEATER to Chatham, New York and performed for PS21, Performance Spaces for the 21st Century.

The entire cast and crew were from TDPS: two former MFA's (Betty Skeen and Graham Brown), two current MFA's (Robin Brown, Stephanie Miracle), two former BA's (Bethany Disque and Connor Voss), and two current BA's (Jonathan Hsu and Nicole Turchi); Paul Jackson did a fantastic job with both lighting design and stage managing; and David Schulman composed and played live for their newest work "A Season of No Regrets".

PWDT inaugurated the new Center's Dance Theatre with a company performance of "Ordinary Festivals" back in 2001 and was asked by PS21 to revive the work for the festival.

In addition to the performances on the ingenious outdoor/tent stage, PWDT created a site performance in collaboration with the dancers throughout the town center of Chatham, NY, which was very well attended and received.
